lthough the regular school day ends at 3:00PM at the Upper Elementary Campus, there are many activities that currently take place after school. Programs range from academic support and tutoring for students who require additional attention to academic and extra-curricular enrichment for students who choose to advance their studies.
Upper Elementary Programs
After School Clubs
The Upper Elementary Campus offers a growing selection of after-school clubs for which participation is interest-based and voluntary. All clubs are open to all Upper Elementary students unless otherwise indicated. Clubs include but are not limited to: the drama club, the Improv Olympics club, the newspaper club, the dance club, the ski and snowboard club, the flag football club, and the basketball club.
Every day, except Tuesdays, from 3:00PM – 4:30PM, the Upper Elementary Campus offers a homework lab open to all students. The lab is staffed by PHA
Students can receive individual tutoring by faculty members either in the Homework Lab or by individual appointment.
Instrumental Music Program
Starting in Grade 4, students are given the opportunity to participate in music lessons on orchestral instruments including violin, cello, flute, clarinet, and saxophone. The program meets twice a week after school and in addition to lessons the students play in ensembles, and give performances both at the school and out in the community.
